ALL OFF SEASON WORKOUTS ARE COMPLETELY OPTIONAL. Attending these workouts has zero effect on a players ability to make either the Freshman, JV, or Varsity team. We have cut players who have participated in these sessions as well as kept players whom chose not to attend. These are simply opportunities to become a better baseball player, learn the system, and prevent injury, in time for the season. The best way to make the team is to be the best player you can be.

QTown HS Baseball plyometric stretching:

Players should be doing both long and short distance running on their own or in small groups.

Mondays: Pitchers and Catchers only @ HS Upper Gym. 2:30-4:40 lifting will follow. Non-Pitchers and catcher will lift 2:30-4:00
Wednesdays: Lifting 2:30-4:00 ALL. Fielding and throwing @ Strayer 4:30-6:00
Thursdays: After speed training 7-9PM Hitting. Only players attending speed training will be allowed to hit. (Grades 9-10 from 7-8 and Grades 11-12 from 8-9)
Friday: ALL Lifting 2:30-4:00

Tryouts Begin: March 7th make sure all paperwork is in
Grades 10-12 ONLY begin 3/7
Grade 9 players trying out for JV begin 3/9
Freshman Team Tryouts begin: 3/14

The HS team will have optional lifting Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 2:30-4:00. There is a specially designed workout for baseball to prevent injury and increase performance.

Speed training is OFF until January.

If players wish to attend more strenuous workouts they are encouraged to do so. Coach Pallone would appreciate knowing where you are if possible. Other preseason opportunities include, but are not limited to; TSE, and DeSales University.
