Quakertown Fall Teams- Rising Stars League**
This season The Quakertown Fall Program will particpate in the TSE-Rising Stars League at the Varsity and Rising Stars (JV) levels. Players will be able to double roster between the teams at no additional cost. The "Varsity" team will consist of mostly 11-12 graders and the "JV" team (or teams) will consist of mostly rising 9-11 graders. 8th graders may only participate by invitation only. The teams will practice Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 4:15-6:00 at the Connie Mack Fields or inside the TSE Academy and will play between 8-10 games. The varsity team will have playoffs as well (JV hopefully). The cost will be $225 and will include a T-Shirt, coaching, the use of an indoor facility, and league fees. This team is not an extension of the school program, but will be Coached by Jon Pallone and will focus on things taught in the Quakertown HS Program.

The HS team will have optional lifting Monday, Wednesday, and Friday morning from 2:30-4:00 after school on a specially designed baseball lifting program. The lifting will continue through the winter and into the preseason and season.

On this page use the tabs below for field addresses and player assignments for the week.

Purpose: To teach and prepare players of Quakertown for the upcoming scholastic season.

This Years Goals:

  • Increase Arm Strength- consistent long toss and WEIGHTED BALL
  • Postive Routines- Fundementals and Warm-up- Drills and Walk-through
  • Proper Approach- At the plate, in the field, goal setting, and trick plays- BP, Lecture, Fungos, and Situational
  • Experience- Games and practices

Pitcher Safety:
Pitchers should monitor their innings. DO NOT EXCEED 90 innings in total (Spring, Summer, and Fall). If pitchers are playing on multiple teams they should communicate with the staff a week ahead of time when they might be pitching so that the staff can help protect their arms. Click here for a link on this topic from the American Sports Medicine Institute. To increase velocity the best way is to increase strength in the weight room, long toss, and use the weighted ball program. However, a player must manage his arm to prevent injury. DON'T long toss if sore or the day before/after pitching.
